Scott Bourne leads off his article with a nice still frame of…….nothing. Black. He is talking stills more than video, but a useful reminder that you get what you pay for.
I’ve had people ask me why I buy only the manufacturer’s recommended memory cards for our cameras, rather than cheaper ones. The answer is simple. All of the money you’ve spent on your camera, the rig, lights, audio gear, lenses, crew, day clearances, ACTRA contracts….everything: it all comes down to ones and zeroes on a little memory card. Do you really want to make that the place where you cheapen out?
