I like Broadcast Pix stuff. If you read their line-up of corporate officers, it reads like a who’s who of the broadcast world. If I was looking for a mid-priced switcher, it would be a duel between them and Newtek’s Tricaster. I get the feeling that Broadcast Pix is a bit more attached (and interfaceable) to the traditional control room set-up, where Tricaster is more targeted to the folks that need an all-in-one solution.
I’ve never heard of voice automation in a switcher before, if it’s reliable, that would be cool.
