Walter Biscardi has been testing out Premiere Pro and MC6 for a while now, to decide which direction his company is going to head after giving up on Final Cut Pro. While I don’t think he’s definitively walked away from Premiere, for his immediate needs, he’s going with Avid. One of the biggest deciding factors? Avid’s facility with VTRs. Who da thunk?
It sounds from the article that they are sticking with their Macs (another reason Avid won is its compatibility with legacy FCP hardware), but he has also been testing Windows machines, and has some interesting articles about his adventures in that regard as well.
