A while back I opined that the best way to preserve Hollywood pictures was still to break the master print down to the 3 primary colours, and then make a Black & White film print of each.
On a tangent, the link above is from a photographer that did pretty much exactly that process on location….in Russia….a century ago! Using modern tech, the 3 primary plates have been aligned to show stunning photos of life in Russia 100 years ago. Fascinating…….
BTW, if you aren’t a regular visitor to The Big Picture, you should start. It’s all stills, but if you need to recharge the old creative battery, it packs a pretty good jolt.
