If you’re on a Mac, then you know that VLC is a must have application.  It is a video player that, in my experience, will play almost anything.  If Quicktime is iffy with a file, throw VLC at it and it’s usually “problem solved”.  I use it with EX1 footage all the time.  One of my other favourite features it has is a Gamma slider, so quick and helpful if the blacks are crushed in a file and you just want to raise things up a bit.  If you’re not on a Mac, they make VLC for many platforms, and the new version for Windows is 64 bit.

Now comes word that there is a release candidate for version 2 of the program, and it supposedly includes Blu-ray support.  I don’t have a drive to test it out, anybody want to try it?
